• Tipper body floor: Check plate thickness at the front bulkhead and along the centreline — these wear fastest under repeated sand loads. Thin or repaired floor plates are a red flag.
• Hydraulic ram and pump: The ram should rise smoothly under load with no side-drift. A slow or drifting ram means seal wear or pump degradation — common and repairable, but it should be in the price.
• Engine oil and coolant condition: Light-duty engines in this HP class are not abused the way heavy-haulage engines are, but check for milky oil (head gasket) and corrosion in the coolant system.
• Chassis longerons: The shorter wheelbase concentrates stress; inspect for cracks at the rear spring hangers and around the tipper pivot mounts.
• Cab condition: The 2,080 mm cab is compact. Check door seals, window mechanisms, and the floor for rust from drainage issues — important in high-rainfall markets like Uganda and Ghana.

4x2 Light Tipper vs 6x4 Heavy Tipper — Which Is Right?

Buyers often ask whether to step up to a 6x4. The answer depends on your loads and your roads, not on which truck sounds more capable.

If your typical load is 8–10 tons, your site access is urban or peri-urban, and you want the lowest cost-per-trip, the 4x2 is the correct choice. If you are hauling quarry stone long distance or running a high-volume earthworks contract, look at our 6x4 dump truck range instead.

Refurbishment, LHD/RHD, and Export Process
